Liza Minelli told Entertainment Tonight that her mother, Hollywood actress and singer Judy Garland, would’ve “laughed” at Lady Gaga in “A Star Is Born.” “Then she would’ve gotten into it,” says Minelli “I can hear her saying, ‘OK, let’s go! Great to the end!’”
Garland starred in the original “A Star Is Born” in 1954.
According to Variety, a biopic about Garland is set to be released on September 27th, however, Minelli says she, “doesn’t approve nor sanction the upcoming film about Judy Garland in any way.”
Judy is set to star Renee Zellweger as Judy Garland and will cover her final London shows in 1968 as well as her management issues and relationships.
