With the rising cost of groceries, avocados can be one of those foods that you easily can lose to browning and although you can eat a whole avocado a day without worrying too much about calories, sometimes you don’t want to. So what to do with the other half of the avocado? Simply brush or spray the green flesh of the avocado with olive oil and cover with foil. The oil will act as a barrier to keep the avocado from turning brown. You can also keep your avocados longer by storing unripened avocados in the refrigerator until ready to use.
