Tiger Woods Sued After Restaurant Employee Dies in Alleged Drunk Driving Crash
The family of a bartender employed at Tiger Woods’ restaurant in Florida alleges that Woods and his girlfriend knew that the bartender was a “habitual drinker” but overserved him alcohol after a 3 am shift, leading him to drive his car while drunk. The bartender crashed his car and later died at the hospital. His blood alcohol level was found to be three times the legal limit.
The lawsuit also alleges that Woods and his girlfriend, who is the GM of the restaurant, drank with him, despite knowing that he had drinking issues.
The family claims Woods and the entire staff “had direct knowledge” of his drinking issues and were even aware that he attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings prior to his death.
The family is seeking more than $15,000 in the wrongful death suit.
