Complaining about your ex-husband and his new lover on Facebook is pretty standard stuff here in America, but it can get you in big trouble in United Arab Emirates.

Laleh Shahravesh, a 55-year-old British woman, learned that lesson after she was arrested in Dubai last month over a three-year-old Facebook post in which she called her ex and 'idiot' and his new wife a 'horse'. After the husband died last month, Shahravesh traveled to Dubai for the funeral, only to be told she couldn't leave the country due to violating UAE's strict cyber crime laws.  She's now broke and separated from her daughter, has lost her job back home, and says the British embassy won't help.
