Woman Saws Off Own Hand to Claim Insurance
A 21-year-old woman claimed that she sawed off her arm while cutting tree branches with a circular saw. The Slovenian woman wanted to claim the 400,000 euros that her family had just purchased in insurance. After sawing her hand off, her family took her to the hospital, leaving the hand behind. Doctors were able to get the hand in time to sew it back on, unfortunately, the woman received no payout because the police were able to determine it was fraud.
