Get to Hawaii for $49? Who wouldn’t do that? Less than a week after getting FAA approval to fly from the West Coast to Hawaii, Southwest Airlines started selling tickets. Some of the fares seen on Monday were ridiculously low. Flights from Oakland, California to Honolulu cost $49 one way. A lot of those tickets might be sold out, but the prices are still low. Ticket prices for other airlines that fly to Hawaii are expected to drop because of the new competition.
