In an interview with Access, Tori Spelling confirmed the news, after being questioned about the photos of members of the cast at a coffee shop in late 2018.
“We were having coffee in between meetings with networks. It’s confirmed. We’re doing a new 90210,” Tori said during the interview.
She went on to explain,
“It’s the OG crew back together and we’re playing heightened versions of ourselves. The fans will be pleasantly surprised, though, because we will intercut that with scenes from the show. So it’ll be a whole ensemble cast playing a heightened version of themselves. Almost everybody.”
Tori said Luke Perry may not be joining in on the reboot, due to his filming schedule with “Riverdale”, and that Shannen Doherty would be welcome to join.
