If you’ve recently bought a bag of Perdue’s Ready-To-Eat Chicken Nuggets you may want to take them back to the store. The poultry giant issued a recall on Thursday. The product in question is frozen SimplySmart Organics Breaded Chicken Breast Nuggets with the Best By date of 10/25/19 sold in 22oz plastic packages. The nuggets inside may be Gluten Free, but they’re possibly not wood free as three consumers have reported finding the extra ingredient. While there are no reports of ill effects so far, the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service says the Perdue recall will total 68,244 pounds.
