Folding properly is an important detail, making sure to get your clothing as small as possible. Tucking articles into others will free up room as well. Kondo also recommends using bags to keep similar items together like charge cords and shoes. Of course, the KonMari method is in full effect, with the expert advising to use her “spark joy” test before placing anything inside the suitcase.
