Jayme Closs, a 13 year old girl who disappeared after her parents were found dead in their home in Wisconsin on October 15th has been found alive.
She was discovered on Thursday in the town of Gordon, Wisconsin, approximately 70 miles north of her hometown.
The Barron County Sheriff is reporting the suspect they have in custody is 21 year old Jake Patterson.
It has been reported that Jayme got away on foot. She has received hospital care and appears to be healthy, otherwise skinny from obvious neglect.
Sheriff Fitzgerald of the Barron County Sheriff’s Department said,
“It was first unreal, and then when we confirmed [it was Jayme] my legs started shaking, I mean it was awesome. I don’t have a different word.”
Jake Patterson has also been arrested for the murder of Jayme’s parents.

Here’s what we know about Jake Patterson:
He is a 21 year old from Gordon, Wisconsin. He was taken into custody on Thursday after Jayme gave a description of his vehicle to investigators. The vehicle matching her description was located and pulled over a short time later and he was placed under arrest. He is currently being held in the Barron County Jail and faces two counts of first- degree intentional homicide in the killing’s of Jayme’s parents, James and Denise Closs, and one count of kidnapping. According to the Barron County Sheriff, Patterson “planned his actions and took many proactive steps to hide his identity from law enforcement and the general public.”
