Charlotte Family Who Lost Son Connects With Justin Timberlake in a Unique Way
Justin Timberlake met with a Charlotte family during his stop in the city, Rebecca and Michael Holt lost their 5-year-old son at an accident at rotating restaurant in Atlanta. Their son, Charlie loved Justin Timberlake especially his song, “Can’t Stop the Feeling.” His classmates described him as a “ray of sunshine” and they even made pocket-sized wood sunshine with his name on it so could always keep Charlie close. “I’ve got that sunshine in my pocket. I’ve got that good soul in my feet,” Rebecca Holt says, citing Timberlake’s song. “The lyrics are so reflective of Charlie who was so happy and content just singing and dancing while sharing his light with the world.” Timberlake met with the Holts after his show in Charlotte and they told him about the Charlie Heart Foundation, which helps children and families with sustainable living, financial and health education.
