Delilah Speaks Out on Son’s Suicide
Radio legend Delilah has heard the stories of others for so long on her nightly “love songs” program. Now, she’s speaking out on her own heartbreak. It’s been just over a year since Delilah lost her 18-year-old son, Zack, to suicide. She told Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts: “We need to talk about teenage suicide. We need to start having open conversations, as painful as they are, because it’s epidemic.” The 58-year-old has 13 kids. 10 of those kids are adopted. Zack was one of her three biological children. Delilah says the nights are her worst time. “I finish the show and that’s when it hits,” she says. “Because that was our time together. My son was a night owl.”
