Reports are surfacing that indicate a magnitude 4.4 earthquake has been confirmed in Delaware.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the location of the earthquake was near the Dover Air Force Base.

At this time, it is not known how much damage the quake caused. However, severe damage is not consistent with a 4.4 magnitude earthquake.

What is known is that the earthquake struck the area at around 5 p.m.

According to USA Today, the last earthquake nearby was back in 2011 — after a 5.8 earthquake was recorded in Virginia.
