Many brides spend thousands and thousands of dollars on a gown for their big day.

While these dresses are beautiful, a recent competition proved that you don’t always have to drop big bucks to create an eye-catching look. A group of crafty women competed in the 13th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Competition. Yep, take a look at these gowns. It’s pretty hard to believe that they’re all made out of the stuff you use in the bathroom, right?

These Gorgeous Wedding Dresses Are Made Entirely Out of Toilet Paper

Brides can get pretty creative when it comes to DIY crafting for their wedding, but these dresses take it to a totally new level. Ten women from across the country competed as finalists in the 13th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress, creating dresses completely out of toilet paper - a combined total of 247 rolls - for a chance to win the grand prize of $10,000.

The contest drew 1,500 entries from all over the country. The grand prize winner, Kari Curletto, took home $10,000 for her efforts. She hand-cut paper butterflies and even created a 6-foot detachable train. This is taking DIY to a whole new level.
