ICYMI: Production on “Bachelor in Paradise” Has Been Halted
If you were dying to indulge in your favorite guilty pleasure Bachelor in Paradise, we have some bad news: production on the show came abruptly to a halt this past weekend.
Details are still a little sketchy, though there are plenty of rumors flying. Right now, Warner Brothers is saying that the show was put on pause due to “an allegation of misconduct.”
The company issued a statement to Us magazine, saying, “We have become aware of allegations of misconduct on the set of Bachelor in Paradise in Mexico,” Warner Bros. told Us in a statement on Sunday. “We have suspended production and we are conducting a thorough investigation of these allegations. Once the investigation is complete, we will take appropriate responsive action.”
If you follow any of the cast members on social media, which included Raven Gates, Amanda Stanton, Robby Hayes, and (of course) Corinne Olympios, you know that they were all posting Instagram and Snapchat pictures featuring them at airports on their way home from Mexico. Right now it’s unclear if shooting will resume. The show was originally slated to premiere on ABC on August 8th.
Chris Harrison put out a statement that was quoted on E! saying “I know in this day and age we want and even expect immediate answers but in this case it’s just not possible… So again I urge you to please be patient and respect the privacy of the parties involved. I will keep you as informed and up to date as I possibly can. We’re sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment this may have caused the cast, the crew and our loyal fans. It is my sincere hope that we can come to a quick resolution on this and get back to work very soon.”
