Faithful Friends Animal Society (FFAS) in partnership with the Home Builders Association of Delaware and AIA Delaware present Barkitecture - a unique fundraising event featuring a competition of custom-built dog houses, cat condos and pet furniture. Entries will be available for auction at the event on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Arsht Hall in Wilmington. Proceeds from the event benefit FFAS, a private, nonprofit animal welfare organization with a no-kill animal shelter. The design-build competition is open to builders, architects, contractors, interior designers, landscape designers, students, artists and creative individuals. Teaming with other designs professionals in highly recommended. The four design categories are: Dog Houses, Cat Condos, Outdoor Cat Houses/Enclosures and Pet Furniture. Entries will be displayed at the Barkitecture event on April 5, 2014 and the winners will be announced that evening. Select entries will also be displayed at the spring Delaware Home and Garden Show at the Chase Center on March 28-30, 2014. Entry registration deadline is Monday, February 17, 2014. Entries must be completed and delivered on Friday, March 28, 2014. Online registration and guidelines available at General admission and VIP tickets to Barkitecture are available now.
