Community Kick Butts Day & Health Awareness Event

The community is invited to participate in the annual KICK BUTTS DAY & HEALTH AWARENESS EVENT on SATURDAY, MARCH 15, 2014. The event will kick off at 8:00 a.m. with a cigarette butt cleanup at the Georgetown Circle followed by activities, prevention workshops, and health fair at the Georgetown Boys & Girls Club from 9:00 a.m until 12:00pm. Youth will enjoy a day filled with fun activities and education, receive valuable information about tobacco-use, and have the opportunity to present their own anti-tobacco messages to their parents and peers. Adults will have the opportunity to receive free medical screenings and health tips provided by Beebe Healthcare from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided. This event is presented by First State Community Action Agency and the Georgetown Boys & Girls Club in partnership with the American Lung Association and Beebe Healthcare.
