Christmas at Hagley: A Victorian Christmas
Crafts run 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m., story time 12:30 and 2:45 p.m. both days. The Wilmington Christian School choir performs at 1, 2 p.m. Dec. 3. The St. Andrew's School choir performs 1 and 2 p.m. Dec. 4.

Gingerbread House Contest and Open House
'Tis the season for gingerberad. Make a gingerbread house and enter it in the sixth Annual Gingerbread House Contest on Saturday, December 3rd at the Claymont Stone School. Prizes will be awared to the winning entrants at 11:30 in seven different categories. This event is free to the public.

Toy Drive to Benefit Nemours/ A.I. duPont Hostipal for Children
Captain Blue Hen comics in Newark, DE kicks off the holiday Toy Drive at the annual showing of "A Christmas Story" at the Cinema Center 3. This is the third year in a row for the Toy Drive that benefits children who must spend the holidays at Nemours/Alfred I duPont Hospital for Chidlren in Wilmington.

WINTER BUSY BODIES
Catch the holiday spirit with Newark Parks and Recreation as we make winter related treats and crafts. Each child ages 3 ½-5 will take home their treats and projects to share during this season of giving. Classes will be held on Saturdays from 9-10am beginning Dec 3-17th at the George Wilson Center. Fee is $53 and the Newark resident discount is $40.

Miracle for Mateo's: Beading & Bagging Volunteer Drop-In Event
Come assemble bags of hope, make a card for a sick child, and create a miracle beads necklace. You can browse our current collection of miracle beads, drop off can tabs to benefit Ronald McDonald Houses, and drop off single serving, non-perishable food items for Bags of Hope.
Fill a bag, make a card, or string some Miracle Beads...and you'll be helping a family and child in need!
