Still Life in Photography-Workshop

FEE: $25 (AI&G Members receive 10% off of tuition for classes, not Supply Fees)
DESCRIPTION: This is a one evening workshop that will instruct students on the basics of setting up and photographing Still Life. Students will learn appropriate lighting, and Composition. Use of flash and natural light will also be addressed. Effectiveness of various backgrounds, props, and subject matter will be discussed. The goal of this workshop is for students to create Still Life photographs for web and personal use.

State Sen. Farenese to hold Senior Expo
State Sen. Larry Farnese (Philadelphia D) will hold his annual Senior Expo on Thursday, October 27, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Fels S. Philadelphia Community Center. The free event is specifically designed to connect First District seniors to public and private service providers and state and local government agencies. Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided. Seating is limited so attendees should RSVP by October 20, 2011, by calling 215-952-3121.

Halloween Party at the George Wilson Center
Kids will have a Spooky time at the Newark Parks and Recreation sponsored Halloween Party at the George Wilson Community Center on Thursday, October 27 from 4-5:30 p.m. Children ages 3-12 are welcome.
