Welcome to the WJBR Hometown Happenings Page!
We’ve put together some tips to help you best promote your event:
1) Events you submit yourself directly through this site will be posted fastest. Please submit them as you would like them to appear.
2) The number of characters is limited, so it’s best to be brief, with organization, place, time and a short description of the event.
3) Unfortunately, only a limited number of events will be aired, but Hometown Happenings is a trusted resource for thousands in the Delaware Valley who are looking for “something to do.”
4) WJBR is limited by logistics and time in regard to events we can attend. If you’d like us on site, or would like J Bear to be part of your party, please contact us well in advance at 302-765-1160.
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR EVENT!!
Sincerely,
The Promotions and Public Affairs staff at WJBR

Its almost time for the next most wonderful time of the year Girl Scout Cookie Season! Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay will go door-to-door to begin taking orders for the new Super Six selection of Cookies starting Saturday, January 8, 2011. The Super Six is a premium selection of the six best-selling Girl Scout Cookies of all time.
In recent years, the Council has offered eight Cookie varieties. However, research shows that nearly all Girl Scout Cookie customers have a favorite among these bestsellers, known as the Super Six:
Thin Mints
Samoas
Tagalongs
Trefoils
Do-si-dos
Lemon Chalet Cremes
The Girl Scout Cookie Program is a hands-on leadership and business program for girls. This Cookie Season, girls will be learning the business basics behind offering the Super Six. By focusing on Americas most beloved Cookie favorites and streamlining delivery, the Council is making the program easier and more cost-effective for girls and volunteers.
The Super Six varieties are baked by Little Brownie Bakers, one of two bakers licensed by Girl Scouts of the USA. Little Brownie research shows that the five core Cookie varieties (Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Trefoils and Do-si-dos) appeal to more than 80 percent of Cookie customers.
