Congratulations!  You've decided to get running.  Good for you! 

Whether you are committing to join me for the next  Charlie's Crew 5K (Register here) or just want to get moving there are a lot of great online programs and apps out there to get you going and keep you motivated.  Here are a few you might find helpful:

Now that you have your resolve to run, motivation apps and the right clothes to wear, you're gonna need some good tunes!  Running with music not only helps you keep pace, but it also gives you that energy you need to keep going strong!  Here are a few playlists to get you started.  Rock on!

O.K.  You've got the app, clothes and music.  Now all you need is the right running shoe!  Believe me, that does matter.  You will spending a lot of time in these shoes and they have to fit right.  The link below will help you choose a shoe that's right for you!

Are you sure you are warming up the right way before running?  With the warmer temps on the way, here are some streches and warm up exercises to get you ready to run!

Let's say you have over done the training. I have done it, and it isn't fun!  Women's Health Magazine complied a list of ways to relieve that pain:

FIVE WAYS TO EASE SORE MUSCLES:

1. Use a foam roller
2. Take Tyenol
3. Stretch after a warm up
4. Apply heat to the sore spot
5. Take Omega-3 once a day
