1. The Wilmington Grand Prix kicks off today with the Monkey Hill Time Trial. A course made famous during the Tour DuPont.

2. The Powerball jackpot soared to $550 million after there was no winner in Wednesday's drawing. Officials expect it to keep growing before Saturday's drawing, which could break Powerball's November 2012 record of $587.5 million.

3. Apple says an Ohio man downloaded the 50-billionth app from the Apple Store Wednesday and will receive a 10-thousand-dollar App Store gift card. The App Store has more than 850-thousand apps it offers users. 

4. In an effort to improve boarding times, American Airlines will allow people with just a bag — rolling suitcases not included —to board flights before most other passengers

5. David Beckham has announced that this season playing for Paris Saint-Germain will be his last. The 38-year-old released a statement to thank his team for the opportunity but added that it feels like the right time to finish his career. Beckham still has two games left to play this season.
