Sammy Hagar has popped out a video for "No Worries," one of the new songs featured on his compilation This Is Sammy Hagar Vol. 1 -- When The Party Started.
The solo acoustic performance clip was filmed at Mick Fleetwood's Fleetwood's on Front St. restaurant in Maui. Hagar wrote the song with his nephew, Tom Solis, and he tells us that his new music nowadays is designed to reflect his lifestyle as a beach-loving rocker and spirits manufacturer:
"I...called it 'This is Sammy Hagar' 'cause that's the story of every time I played it for the record company they'd say, 'We want a Sammy Hagar record.' I said, 'No, you don't understand, this is Sammy Hagar today. This is who I am. I'm not gonna make Sammy Hagar from '79. That guy is gone. I don't know where he went. He's in Cabo on the beach somewhere...It just makes me happy. I just love this record. If you want to know who I am right now, put it on and at the end you'll go, ‘Yeah, that's the guy I just talked to.'"
Hagar will host his Acoustic-4-A-Cure benefit concert on May 15 in San Francisco and has performances with his band the Circle on tap for early summer.
